Student of Josef Gingold and Dorothy DeLay; chamber music with members of the
Juilliard, Hungarian, and Berkshire quartets, William Primrose; Janose Starker;
and Gyorgy Sebok. As first violinist of the Blair String Quartet, performances
throughout the United State including the 92nd Street Y, Merkin Concert Hall,
and Carnegie Recital Hall in New York; the Kennedy Center, the Library of Congress,
and the National Gallery of Art In Washington, D.C. Other concerts: the Aspen
Music Festival (1986), the Sedona Chamber Music Festival (1986-1989), Sewanee
Music Festival (1990, 1994), Gilmore International Piano Festival (1991), Music
Mountain, Connecticutt (1996/97, 2002-2002), American Pianists Association Competition
(2000), Colorado Music Festival (1994). Featured on National Public Radio and
Public Television. Recordings on Orpheus, Red mark, Varese Sarabande, Pantheon,
Vox, New World, Warner Bros., and Naxos labels. Carnegie Hall recital debut,
1977; soloist with Colorado Philharmonic, Madeira Bach Festival Orchestra, Nashville
Symphony, Abilene Philharmonic, Richmond Symphony, and the Vanderbilt University
Orchestra. Member of faculty: Congress of Strings (University of Cincinnati),
1976/77); Rocky Ridge Music Center 1978-1980; Aspen Music Festival, 1986; Meadowmount
School of Music, 1994-1999. Adjucator for regional and national competitions.
Student prizewinners on national, regional, and local levels. First violinist,
