A student of William Primrose, Alan deVeritch has performed throughout USA and Europe. His solo appearances include performances with Los Angeles Philharmonic, Washington National Symphony, Philadelphia Orchestra. He actively records in Hollywood and has performed on most major motion picture soundtracks and television productions. Alan has taught at California Institute of the Arts, Biola University, California State University at Northridge and U.S.C. specializing in orchestral repertoire for violists. He is the immediate past president of the American Viola Society, and he formerly served as principal violist of the Los Angeles Philharmonic and was guest principal violist of the New York Philharmonic.
