Jeanne Johnson
Violin

A winner of an Early Music America Professional Development Award for soloists, Jeanne Johnson gave main event recitals at the 2002 Berkeley and Bloomington Early Music Festivals with her group Music of the Spheres. She has been featured on several "Harmonia" and "Performance Today" broadcasts, and has performed with Philharmonia, Tafelmusik, Portland Baroque, Apollo's Fire, Indianapolis Baroque, Boston Baroque, Bloomington Baroque, the Carmel Bach Festival, the Atlanta Symphony, and numerous chamber groups. Jeanne served as concertmaster of the Atlanta Baroque Orchestra, and as orchestra director and violin teacher at Clayton College & State University. She received her bachelor's and master's degrees with honors from Indiana University and New England Conservatory, where she studied with Stanley Ritchie and James Buswell.
